Welcome to the official site of the International Physics Olympiad 2025!
We are delighted to welcome you to Paris, the City of Light, for this prestigious scientific event that will bring together the brightest young physicists from around the world.
From July 17 to 25, 2025, these talented students from over 80 countries will gather to tackle high-level physics challenges, share their knowledge, and create lasting friendships.
An unforgettable experience on intellectual, human, and cultural levels! We hope participants will be inspired by the renowned school where the events will take place (École Polytechnique), as well as by the educational excursions, conferences, and enriching exchanges with peers and experts from all fields of physics.
This unprecedented event in France is coordinated by the French Physical Society (which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2023) under an agreement between the Ministries of National Education and Youth, and Higher Education and Research, with the collaboration of École Polytechnique and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
